Fly-Fish-BC is a unique and perhaps unorthodox site devoted to the multi-faceted pursuit we call fly fishing.
It includes informative articles on where to go, techniques, gear, beginner tips and flies as well as discussions on entomology and etymology, for the closet linguist but, as always, it is a work in progress.
If there is something I missed or a page neglected, I assure you - I will get to it soon. Like a stretch of unknown water or a dreamed of destination, it will haunt me until either I resolve it or it becomes just one of many thoughts left unforgotten on a mountain stream.
I hope to provide a forum open to all, from clueless beginners to jaded old guides, that encourages the productive exchange of information relating to fly-fish-bc and whatever else one feels appropriate to contemplate.
The important thing is to enjoy the site, take what you want away from it and like a day of fishing, enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the cast as much as the excitement of the catch. For in the end, we hope to create a community of like-minded individuals who share the sometimes frustrating but always fulfilling obsession of pursuing the elusive and gallant trout with an artificial fly.
