The Shaggy Bugger
Hook: nymph hook sizes 2-12
Thread: 6/0 wine coloured
Head: copper or gold bead
Tail: brown maribou
Rib: copper wire
Hackle: brown palmered
Body: Multi-coloured leech yarn
Tie in tail then attach copper wire and yarn. Wind yarn forward to head than tie in hackle. Wind hackle back to bend and secure with wire. wind wire forward to head and tie off - really easy.
Tip: I have caught everthing with this fly - trout, bass, perch, walleye - my version of a whooly bugger. Try different colours or add a little tinsel or flashabou to the tail.
