Welcome to Fly Fish BC
Fly Fish BC is a site intended for those who enjoy the pursuit of angling with an artificial fly. I have been fly fishing now for over 20 years and have developed a passion for all aspects of fly fishing - for believe me, once you decide to pick up a fly rod, you may not be able to put it down. The pool is very deep, it is as educational as it is enjoyable and even the experts admit they never stop learning.
But I would like to invite not just the passionate string thrower, but also people who may want to learn some aspects of the pursuit or are simply interested in visiting the many and varied beautiful places in British Columbia.
I would like to thank all who visited my former site, www.fly-fishing-british-columbia.com, and invite you to visit www.fly-fish-bc.com for more fly fishing adventures in Britsh Columbia.As before, this site will include informative articles on where to go, techniques, gear, beginner tips and flies as well as discussions on entomology and etymology.
Because I live in one of the most beautiful areas on the planet - the rivers, lakes and streams in the Kootenays of British Columbia will be the locus of most adventures. However, through time and providence I hope to include all areas of British Columbia.
I also hope to provide a forum open to all, from clueless beginners to jaded old guides, that encourages the productive exchange of information relating to fly fishing and whatever else one feels appropriate to contemplate.
The important thing is to enjoy the site, take what you want away from it, and, like a day of fishing, enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the cast as much as the excitement of the catch. For in the end, we hope to create a community of like-minded individuals who share the sometimes frustrating but always fulfilling obsession of pursuing the elusive and gallant 
trout with an artificial fly.
